TEAMS
We use our medical, strength and conditioning background to design programs that not only make you stronger, faster, more explosive and fit, but also make you a more “durable” athlete. We use non-conventional training techniques such as flipping, lifting and pulling awkward implements (like sledge hammers, medicine balls, logs, etc.) to improve functional strength. We combine these strength techniques with a speed and agility program that focuses on sprinting mechanics, starting/stopping technique, and turns. The combination of proper mechanics and stability, core strength and coordination gained from our non-conventional techniques will help you become more athletic and durable.
We work with several teams throughout the area and would love to serve your team as strength and conditioning coaches. Contact us now so we can start planning for your season!

What others are Saying
“Sheila and John became instant and integral part of our program. They have had a direct impact on the success of our program. Their hard work helped our kids get to the next level physically and mentally.”
-Dean Corkum
Head Boy’s Varsity Lacrosse Coach
Essex High School
“Fit2Excel has taken my team of young runners and made them into strong, confident young men. I am sure that our success last season was heavily due to this program. Not only did my boys gain a lot of strength, but they really enjoyed it as well.”
-Eric Langevin
Head Boy’s Varsity Cross Country Coach
Essex High School
“Because athletes from different sports often train alongside each other having SB student-athletes train at Fit2Excel has helped SBHS reinforce our support for the benefit of being a multi-sport athlete.
When a football lineman, a basketball point guard, and girls 100m dash athlete all train together it shows them how transferrable strength and power skills are between sports. In the end such training can serve as an inoculation against specialization.
Most importantly, however, is that when the time comes for our student-athletes to formally ‘hang up the cleats/skates/sneakers’ they see how training and fitness can be a worthwhile lifelong pursuit.”
