John, Sheila, and their Fit2Excel Staff have worked with our Essex High School Varsity Boys Soccer Team for the past seven seasons. I cannot say enough good things about them! They bring a great combination of knowledge and energy and make every session fun for our players. Strength & Conditioning workouts have helped our team play a physical style and outlast opponents late in games. Sports Psychology classes have prepared our kids to push through adversity and navigate challenging situations. John and Sheila are an integral part of our program and were major contributors to our recent State Championship season. I look forward to continuing our relationship in the future!

Sheila started me on my journey of learning what it meant to have a healthy mindset when it came to competition. Without her, I don’t think I would have had the season I had my last year in college, I was undefeated, nor become the person I am today. Sheila is personable, understanding, and works with you to develop the skills you need to have to succeed. I can’t thank her enough, and I highly recommend her to any athlete wanting to understand their performance mindset.

Sheila is an overall amazing person. As someone who does not like talking to people, she is super easy to talk to and helped me more than I could have imagined. She not only helped me improve my performance in sports, but she also helped me become a better person.

I have worked with Sheila for the past 6 years. When I tore my ACL she was there for me whenever I needed to talk. As I was getting ready to return to basketball she helped me prepare to be mentally strong and have a smooth transition. Over the years, I have developed a relationship with Sheila and I feel I can talk to her about more than basketball. Sheila has helped me set goals, make plans to reach them, and become the best basketball player I can be!!

Todays workout may have been one of my all-time favorites. It was challenging especially after a challenging HIIT class last night. Quite frankly, I did not think I would get past the second round. But as I did the farmer carry run and I heard everybody cheering and dropped the tires in my space, I bent over. It wasn’t so much that I was out of breath, it was that I got emotional. I teared up.
I can’t ever express truly how much Fit2Excel has meant to me and how it has helped me. I went through a rough year last year and my turnaround really began when I joined the Fit2Excel family. This year has been a real challenge and these workouts and the support of everyone has made it one we know we can overcome.
The tears were real and they were tears of joy and gratitude
With unending thanks,

I worked with John for over 7 months rehabbing from ACL surgery. I am very grateful for the experience I had with John. He pushed me every session and he truly cared about how I was doing. When I returned to playing basketball in the middle of the season I was stronger than ever and i was confident my knee was ready to go!

Just wanted to express my gratitude for everything your facility and staff has done for me over the past several months. Jorie has been nothing but great, and an amazing resource for me throughout this experience. I especially appreciate her and Sheila doing so much to make me feel comfortable in boot camp yesterday and proving to me that I can still workout and stay fit. The program Jorie made will be so beneficial.
Hey John and Sheila, I wanted to send a note and give some encouragement to you both. What an awesome job you have done with the camps. They continue to be both challenging and mind opening as we push ourselves past what we thought were our limits.
It has been so cool to watch you two work as one on this business and in that vein, I saw her truly as your “helpmeet” in taking over the classes so you could get rest, get better or work on other things for your business. She may do things a little differently than you but I think the classes were still great! Although I know it isn’t without its stresses, it’s nice that you have this opportunity to build this neat business together and do what you two love to do. I pray God continues to bless your efforts. I sure appreciate what it has done for me physically and mentally. It is exactly what I have needed to overcome the aches and pains I had.
My two boys worked hard, are so VERY much stronger than when they started, but most importantly enjoyed themselves immensely. It was surprising to me that they never once complained about going (most especially because of the heat), which tells me they had fun to boot! You definitely had some hot days out there and my son Philip was running with some of his Xcountry teammates early each Mon & Wed mornings, so he had the double work out, but never missed a day until the last week of camp when we left for vacation. He credits his ease with the first week of preseason workouts/practice, totally to your camp!
